Abe, Ryuichiro

Profile

Dr. Ryuichiro Abe completed his MD in 2011 at Osaka University. After clinical training in anesthesiology and critical care medicine for 6 years, he pursed research on carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae as a graduate student at Osaka University Research Institute for Microbial Diseases. He completed his PhD in 2020, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the same institute (2020), and at Stanford University (2021) where he started studies on bacterial bloodstream infections. He was appointed to the current position in 2024.
