Biken History Museum is open now.

The opening ceremony, with a ribbon cutting by Hitoshi Kikutani (Director of RIMD), Yasushi Higashi (Chairman of BIKEN) and Tokuji Takeo (a direct descendant of Jiemon Takeo), was held at 11:00 a.m. on December 17, 2010. More than 200 attendants enjoyed the guided tour of the museum, admiring the "Koch\'s microscope", precious historical documents and Kaiyodo\' poly vinyl chloride (PVC) figures of SARS and influenza viruses. The senior ex-members of Biken also watched with nostalgia the TV monitor on which displayed the old pictures of Biken\'s life of more than 50 years ago.

The news was broadcasted not only in Asahi-Shimbun (morning version with a color picture) but also in "Zoom-in Super" of NTV (December 17).
