Thailand’s Suankularb Wittayalai School students join RIMD training program

RIMD welcomed 10 students from Thailand’s Suankularb Wittayalai School for a training program from December 2nd to the 6th.

The five-day program started with RIMD tours at its venture company and laboratory. During the tours, Thai researches showed the students around their laboratories, giving lectures featuring their research work and careers in Japan.

On the second day, the delegates witnessed the state-of-the-art technology at the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research, and then enjoyed an English tour at aquarium Nifrel.

On the following day, they visited several laboratories and the emergency medical care center at the Graduate School of Medicine.

On the fourth day, following the visit to the International Center for Biotechnology, they joined a gathering with Osaka University international students at IRIS, or the Information Room for International Students. In the meeting, they gave presentations on their own school life to learn a lot about each other.

On the final day, they visited the Graduate School of Engineering Sciences and the Museum of Osaka University. Thanks to the cooperation of other institutions, the program successfully ended. The youngsters willingly learned about everything throughout the event. The brilliant future is waiting for them.
