Taniguchi Memorial Fellowship program is the scholarship program to support young research scientists organized by The Research Foundation for Microbial Diseases of Osaka University (BIKEN). This program was established in 1962 and more than 600 researchers were supported. This year, 10 post-docts were awarded. As of this year, a scholarship program for international students has started and Ariel Pradipta from Indonesia was certified as a first grad student supported by this program. He would be supported during his PhD course and after he gained PhD, he would be offered a research position at RIMD if RIMD finds him as a particularly excellent student.

We hope these young researchers would be active in research and have outstanding research developments.
