Q1 Please tell us about your current role.

I am a 1st year PhD student.

Q2 What is the focus of your Research?

I mainly focus on the interactions of Rotavirus and host cells.

Q3 Why did you choose RIMD?

RIMD involves a wide range of research fields from microbiology to immunology, cultivating countless extraordinary researchers. The splendid achievements of RIMD's research pioneers and research-friendly environment are very attractive to me.

Q4 Do you think RIMD is a good place to study science?

Yes. RIMD has abundant research resources and the professors and senior researchers at RIMD are very kind and helpful to young researchers. Thanks to that, we could acquire better knowledge and techniques here.

Q5 What do you enjoy most about what you do?

Deciphering unknown mechanisms and discovering new findings are very challenging and interesting.

Q6 What do you do on a typical day?

Nothing special. Just do some experiments and sometimes take lectures or seminars as usual.

Q7 What are the best and worst things about your life in Japan?

Best
It feels comfortable to live alone here and everyone is friendly and kind.
