Q1 Where are you from? Which part of your country?
I am from Henan Province in central China, a region known as the birthplace of Chinese Kung Fu and rich in traditional culture. I grew up in a small rural town surrounded by farmland, which gave me a strong appreciation for simplicity, resilience, and hard work.

Q2 Do you have any brothers or sisters?
Yes, I have one older sister and one younger sister. Growing up with them made my childhood lively and taught me the importance of responsibility, communication, and supporting each other.

- Book: 《When Breath Becomes Air》(This book resonates deeply with me. It beautifully reflects on life, purpose, and humanity from the perspective of both a doctor and a patient. It inspires me to think about why we choose our path and how we face uncertainty with courage)

- Movie: Coco — I love this film because it presents the theme of death—something many people are afraid to face—in a gentle and comforting way through the story of Día de los Muertos. It teaches us to embrace remembrance, love, and the continuity of family bonds rather than fear.

- Sports: Running—it helps me stay healthy, clear my mind, and maintain balance in daily life.

Q4 What is your hobby? Are you currently into something?
I enjoy running, traveling, exploring different kinds of food, and watching TV series. I run every day to stay healthy and clear my mind. Recently, I’ve been watching a Japanese drama called “Ja, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo” (じゃあ、あんたが作ってみろよ), which I find very entertaining.
我喜歡跑步、旅行、探索各種美食和看電視劇。我每天都跑步來保持健康、清醒頭腦。最近,我正在看一部叫做《じゃあ、あんたが作ってみろよ》(那你就做做看啊)的日劇,我覺得非常有趣。
Q5 What did you do for club activities and lessons, etc. when you were a teenager ?
In junior high and high school, I participated in long-distance running and often played table tennis with my friends. Table tennis is one of my favorite sports, and those matches were always fun and helped strengthen our friendships.
在國中和高中時期,我參加了長跑,也經常和朋友們打桌球。桌球是我最喜歡的運動之一,那些比賽總是充滿樂趣,也加深了我們的友誼。
Q6 What was the most enthusiastic thing when you were in university ?
I was most passionate about volunteer activities and part-time jobs during my university days. Because my family’s financial situation was difficult, I spent much of my time working part-time to support myself. These experiences taught me responsibility, independence, and the value of hard work, and they also strengthened my motivation to pursue my goals.
在大學時期,我最熱衷的是志工活動和兼職工作。因為家裡的經濟狀況比較困難,我花了大部分時間打工來養活自己。這些經驗教會了我責任感、獨立性與辛勤工作的價值,也堅定了我追求目標的決心。
Q7 How did you get into the career of researcher?
Since I was young, I dreamed of becoming a teacher. During my master’s and PhD studies, I was introduced to scientific research, and I gradually fell in love with the courage it takes to explore the unknown. Research allows me to pursue knowledge while contributing to something that may ultimately benefit human health. This sense of purpose and possibility is what inspired me to choose a career as a researcher.
我從小就夢想成為一名老師。在碩士和博士班期間,我接觸到了科學研究,並逐漸愛上了那份探索未知的勇氣。研究不僅讓我可以追求知識,同時也能為最終可能有益於人類健康的事物做出貢獻。這種使命感與可能性,激勵我選擇了研究人員這個職業。
Q8 Please tell us about the moment when you got most excited on researching.
One of the most memorable moments was when the research I had worked on for several years was finally accepted for publication. Seeing the results of countless hours of experiments and dedication recognized by the scientific community—and knowing that other researchers could read, reference, and build upon my work—was incredibly rewarding. It made me feel that all the challenges and effort were truly meaningful.
最難忘的時刻之一,是我努力了數年的研究成果終於被期刊接受發表。看到無數小時的實驗與心血的成果獲得科學界的認可,並且知道其他研究者可以閱讀、參考並在此基礎上繼續發展——那種回報感是難以言喻的。那一刻讓我覺得,所有的挑戰與努力都是真正有意義的。
