/Research Center for Mechanism and Regulation of Aging About Research Center
The life expectancy of humans has increased markedly over recent decades. Ironically, this has resulted in a startling rise in the incidence of aging-associated diseases, resulting in serious social problems such as increased medical expenses and nursing care costs. To solve these problems, the Research Center for Mechanism and Regulation of Aging was established in2017. The center aims to clarify the fundamental mechanisms that regulate aging and to understand the role of cellular senescence in aging and aging-associated diseases.
