We conduct genetic and protein structural analyses of emerging and re-emerging infectious disease-related pathogens. We also perform structure-based drug design and evaluation and predict antigenic epitopes.

1. Genomic Analysis of HIV in Thailand and investigation of anti-HIV drug efficiency:
We subject HIV-1 strains from different geographical areas in Thailand to genomic analysis and use the resulting data to predict the susceptibility of these viruses to known drugs such as Protease inhibitors by in silico drug-docking experiments. Antigenic epitope prediction using homology modelling is also performed.

2. Genetic Analysis of swine HEV in Thailand :
HEV is a widespread infectious disease that is capable of cross species infection of humans and animals. We are genetically characterizing HEV in Thailand and investigating its geographic distribution.
